Special Meeting Minutes
September 11, 2008
Chairman Moffett called the Special Meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. at the Town Hall, 11 Rye Street, Broad Brook, CT.
I. ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM
Members Present: Eric Moffett, Richard Covill, Jim Richards and Josh Kapelner (Mr. Kapelner arrived at 7:00 p.m.)

Also in attendance: Laurie Whitten, Town Planner
II. DISCUSSION
· MetroHartford Alliance Meeting (to be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Scout Hall)
Ms Whitten went over the names of people that have signed up for the meeting. She noted that most of the boards and commissions will be represented. She said that about 35 people have signed up.
After some discussion, it was decided that the food for the meeting would be baked ziti, sausage and peppers, tossed salad and bread, with cookies for dessert, and the beverages would be canned soda and bottled water.
Ms. Whitten indicated that Tim Howes would be bringing a screen. Ms. Whitten asked about nametags. The Board members agreed that they all should have nametags.
Mr. Richards suggested that the EDC members should be there to set up between 4:30 and 5:00. Mr. Moffett said that he would send an email to all members stating that their help is needed at 4:45.
Ms. Whitten indicated that the food is to be delivered at 5:45.
III. ADJOURNMENT:
